Before you start
- No prerequisite.
Customer relationships and systems
- CRM: tools and practices for organising prospect and customer relationships, actions and sales follow-up.
- ERP: a system combining business management functions, depending on the modules implemented.
- Integration: connecting tools to exchange information using defined rules.
- Automation: performing some tasks using rules, with checks and exceptions that still need handling.
Data and performance
- Indicator or KPI: a defined measure used to track an objective. Its formula, scope and frequency should be known.
- Dashboard: an organised set of measures used to monitor activity and decide actions.
- Reference data: shared identifiers and definitions, such as customer, item or branch lists.
- Data quality: how suitable data is for a specific use, including consistency, completeness and timeliness.
- Power BI: a Microsoft data analysis and visualisation tool used in some Excellia projects.
Implementation and everyday use
- Pilot: an initial, limited use chosen to check the process before expansion.
- Acceptance testing: documented checks of a deliverable against expected outcomes.
- Synchronisation: exchanging changes between a device and the service. A pending local operation is not yet confirmed by the server.
- Company code: a reference identifying the CRM environment to join; it does not replace personal sign-in.
- APK: an Android application installation file. Use the official download for Excellia CRM.
Sectors and learning
- FMCG: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, or frequently purchased everyday products.
- Multisite: an organisation operating across several locations.
- Logistics: organising and tracking flows, stock and deliveries.
- AI: artificial intelligence; outputs should be checked, particularly when used to support decisions.
- Prototype: an initial testable representation of an idea before full implementation.

Ask for a concrete example and the definition agreed for your project. The same term can refer to different calculations or scopes across organisations.
